Nice sleeping pictures.

Love this picture.

Z asleep in between my legs.  The vibrating bassinet was out of batteries, and he won't sleep in in it without the vibration on.  He needs to fall asleep being held by a human, and only then can we put him down and only with the vibration on.  So I figured the vibrations were just fake mommy, and he got to sleep on real mommy that night.  This position also made it more convenient for me to obsessively check his breathing all night long.  Jeff and I both do this--it's true that it sounds like a stereotype, until you become a parent and just cannot help checking all the time.

Beautiful, but dangerous.

Showed the latest pics to the wife, and she got that "Dog Eyeing a Steak" look in her eyes...then mentioned her life-time desire to have three kids. Funny, she never mentioned three before looking at pictures of your newborn...hmmm.

(Checking for breathing isn't the last cliche you will fulfill as parents)

Three is too many! Tell her I said so! I was so gung ho to have two, but having just one seems like enough at the moment. Of course, that's one who spews geysers of vomit, so maybe I'll feel differently soon.

Yeah, I had a moment when every other chick in my family popped up pregnant when I was all, "Aw, I'm missing out!" Then I regained my sanity and realized I am perfectly happy with two.

I absolutely convinced myself one night that Jake wasn't breathing and snatched him out of his crib to check him. Of course, this woke him from a perfect sleep and he was up for much of the rest of the night. *Sigh* Ah, the joys of parenting!

It really is the perfect picture.

(BTW: I bought the exact same camera you got Octo for the wife for her birthday. Everytime I take a new picture of Amelia or Max I am stunned at how good the images are...it's great.)

Yeah, I have a nice camera, too, but it's just bigger. So I end up grabbing Jeff's all the time. And it does take great pictures.
